i am not sure if any one of you has tried donating blood in the US, i have, and have been refused a couple of time for reasons ranging from

We also need more active members in Miami as it is a huge city. Would you like to take up the responsibility to post the flyers in Chinese/Indian/Philipino stores or other places where people from these or other immigrant community gathers? Or maybe simply send out emails to send the same message to your friends. It is ok if there is any constraint.

just becoz u'r kid is not good in spellings.... it doesn't make it mandatory for some folks to be jealous in demeaning way...... maybe you feel bad that a 10 year old has better english vocabulary than you at 40..... whatever it is.... u'r not always in competition with u'r surroundings........ grow up and appreciate the effort & dedication that breaks human limits..... even if it is a 10 or 12 yr old.....

USCIS Ombudsman has released the 2007 Annual Report to Congress at link below. It is an interesting read. I am still reading it. At page 31, the question is posed:
�Exactly how many employment-based green card applications does the agency have pending?� USCIS still cannot answer that question today with certainty."
Also, per the backlog redifinition, the USCIS has about 1.2 million applications (as of March 2007) that it considers active. However, it does not count an additional 1.3 million applications in the backlog that are considered "unripe" cases by the USCIS.
I request the moderators to make this a sticky and if possible put a link on the homepage.

What do you mean by working? Is this just your idea or you have some information on the effects of this campaign?
I am not saying that it is working on the USCIS. We dont know yet coz the flowers start reaching there tommorow. If it is working on USCIS, we would know by the end of the week. Not now.
But it is working on the media.
What I am saying is we are getting a good amount of attention from a lot of newspapers - which is important to create more awareness on the plight of half a million law abiding immigrants and the backlogs they are facing.

Those of you who are now thinking that being able to file 485 will give you freedom - just read through the list to see how many 485 filers (mainly Indians and Chinese) are stuck in the name check russian roullette.

This is one of the biggest bottleneck to 485 and naturalization processing. Most would think it would catch moslems - in reality it catches anyone in "hi-tech" and more often than not Indians, Chinese and Russians. And ofcourse Koreans too. One of the person's stuck in name check commented on the above link - if the FBI knew that a fifth of the nation shares the last name Kim! I guess the same would go for Wu, Yu, Zhou, Singh, Kumar etc.

As you Said God means different to different religions followers like for Christian God means "Jesus" Hindu God means "Shiva/Vishnu/Bramha ..." for Muslim "Allah" , But the Word is Still the "God".
For them "God" is the one that has created this world , for you its nature that has created this world.

You are correct. The rules must have changed recently. I wonder what made them make that change, Now children of US citizens (who were once Indian citizens) have an advantage over children who has both parents as Indian citizens. Weird.. isn't it?

I can say that I have traveled on several occasions out of the United States to Canada, Mexico and the UK for business and pleasure using Advance Parole without incident. I don't understand how Customs and Border Protection can expect us to remain in the United States indefinitely and postpone living our lives! I am fully aware of the statute but I don't buy into its literal interpretation. This is just an opinion. Ultimately you must decide individually what you feel comfortable doing.
