My current EAD expires on Aug 13th 2008. I currently working on EAD. I applied EAD 110 days before and my EAD was approved and card production ordered on June 25th 2008. I still did not receive my EAD in the mail.
Since I am working on EAD what are my options or what do I need to do if I did not receive my EAD in time.

If USCIS is not efficient, cut off dates do not help much for pending I-485s even if there is a horizontal spill over. If USCIS is efficient, there is nothing to argue, EB2 will be benefited as analyzed by vdlrao , me and many other here. I am only trying to say that USCIS efficiency and its 'Target' for each year is a crucial factor when it comes to speculation. The number of visas approved is directly proportional to agency's efficiency and its set target. Depending on that, some parameters in our calculations change . For example, If they do not use the FB to EB spill over, we will be less by 20k for the year. If USCIS and DOS only utilize 130K out of 140K, we will be less by 10K more.
I am not pessimistic and please note that I am not contradicting any one. I my self did detailed analysis in May 2008 saying that it will wonderful year for EB2. Please find the post here.

Met this dude once in a grocery store, he and his hot wife gave me the amway speil. I said listen buddy give me a time to visit your house and number. I called him and we played phone tag, one day I called and his wife picked up, i ASKED IF i could come, she was hesitant and said he was out of state for a conference but I convinced her that it's ok. As far as i can tell, the main issue is that there are not enough visas for Indian applicants. The possible EB1 misuse is a sideshow.

Dont worry dude.my pd is eb2 Jul07 and my L1 expired in Dec.My company applied for my H1 in sep 09 and it was approved in 3 weeks without RFE. Some of my friends in consulting got RFEs for renewal but was eventually approved atleast until the date of contract.

I don't think USCIS has any idea as to how much "enough" visa they have....They function randomly...so plz dont draw any conclusions from who is getting a GC now. It could be the last person filed with latest PD while everyone else waits for their GC!
Just wait and watch. Sept dates will throw some light as to how much of the available visas have they used. (if all, PD will be U, If most/majority: PD will stay same, if less than half: PD will move forward--may be C:p)

Yes, ofcourse he is a demon. There are hundereds of thousands of people are dying without food. Not everyone is taking the arms and killing innocent people. He is a fanatic. He deserves nothing less than death. He should be cut into pieces and should be a lesson for other terrorist.
Poverty is the reality of our subcontinent, the reason Kasab took arms was out of ignorance not due to deliberate fundamentalism, even if latter were true, it is all desperation. The thousands of hungry dying people you point out might just take up arms if they had a choice to beat poverty.
How bright were we when we were 20 year olds? I am in no way supporting Kasab, he will meet his end eventually. But we need to open our minds to the root causes of terrorism, when we do that we have an opportunity to leave our children with a better world. We have taken these ideas to executive and legislative branches of the government. Our suggestions/proposals have been taken up at the top most level. This has been discussed more than few times with favorable consideration. Without being able to share the specifics, we have received extremely positive feedback for our suggestions. Specific events have to occur before this and similar ideas could possibly be considered in the new administration.

My brother applied and got his GC approved through labor substitution. It was really safe in the past. With the proposed bill to abandon the labor substitution, I'm a little concerned if it is alright to proceed.
I've talked to one of the attorney's and he mentioned that the Labor substitution will not likely go away as during the comment period they received a number of objections. But, nothing is certain.
My other concern is if the proposed immigration bill does some good to the legal immigrants, then whatever I am doing will be a waste and I'll be losing all of what I have in my current company (I am very well setlled in a multinational company in a good position). I am torn apart whether to take that risk or to stay put in the existing company.
When do you think the BEC's might complete the processing of existing backlogged applications?
When do you think any of these amendments will be implemented?

Do you have any survey, any real study with proper numbers?? If its 1000 people, its not going to be worth the trouble for them. If its 20,000 real commitments, then we are talking... With downpayments of 250k and mortages for the rest, we are soon talking some pretty decent numbers here (assuming bay area kind of home prices)

Why don't you sue DMV or Michigan congress (if possible).
If the supporters of lawsuit are really enraged as they claim to be then there next post will be detailing their conversations with Rajiv Khanna, hopefully making a case for a lawsuit. They will have to put the down payment of ~600 dollars.
Until then this lawsuit loose talk will remain just that , loose talk . Fit to be dismissed.
Lets see how this goes - so many people voting for the lawsuit. Those who vote, MUST provide valid reachable email ids and phone numbers and MUST provide valid names.
Those who vote yes, MUST engage in active discussion to move ahead. A good way to begin would be to consult an Attorney, so the discussion should move towards that side.
Identify leaders who will lead this effort and form a mailing list and everyone who voted can join the mailing list and discuss.
Lets see how the discussions move.
