i did the same... selected 485 only, i asked the lady who checked ID she said that was ok...
also if you think about it the FP notice was for 485, if EAD or AP requires FP we should get separate FP notices init? :) (thats my take on it)

clif, I wouldn't worry too much regarding the interview. Just take the latest paystubs, Employment letter from your new employer and all the evidence that you have to prove that you have been legally maintaining status in the country. Since you have already submitted medical exam results you don't need to take them with you.

Hello,
I got a notice today saying that my H1B withdrawal notice has been sent on Sep9th (today).
My new employer applied LCA yesterday (09.08.2009) for my H1B transfer.
What is my status now? can I transfer H1B to new company?
Is my old H1B revoked?
what is my next step to do to stay as legal immigrant?

You are safe. Once you have reached I-485 stage, it is all about you and not your employer. You mentioned that you already changed to a new employer. Technically, your old employer should've revoked your old I-140 after your move. Since, you moved to a new employer you are indicating that your new employer also has a new job that matches your initial Labor application. You have nothing to worry about your old employer closing down.

Hi
My husband does not have an H1 stamp in his passport even though he has been in status since he did not go to india,right now he has got 3 yr extension on the basis of an approved I-140 petition,we are going to india to get our visa stamped next month.
Can anyone advise me whether not having a previous H1 stamp in the passport will create any problems for us in getting stamped now.He was on an L1 visa before converting to H1,he has not gone to india since 2002.

I live in New jersey and send my EAD renewal to Nebraska based on my I-485. When i read the instructions, I found out that the application has to go to Texas based to the state where i am in now.
I would appreciate if anyone had same experience and share it with us.

I understand that a H1B visa is the expense to the employer and is not a taxable benefit to the employee. If a company wishes to pay for the green card for the employee, granting them permanent residence in the U.S., is this a taxable benefit to the employee? Should it be added to their W-2? If yes, where is the IRS documentation on this? I can�t find it. Thanks.

I would like to change my name from 'first middle last' to 'middle last' officially. I know that there is a lengthy process to do that on my passport. Is there any advice on how i can reflect that on my I-797? I currently hold a valid H1-B approval. The visa on my passport is for a previous H1 job that i've left now. I would like to change my name officially before making any more wrong stamps on my passport. Is this feasible? If so, can anyone throw some more lgiht on this?

In my opinion, one of the more intriguing product announcements from Nikon today was the Coolpix 8700. If it improves significantly from the Sony, that could be a killer product. Right now, Canon is lacking a bit in the true consumer DSLR market. But then again, PMA is right around the corner. The Sony has Zeiss glass and 28mm WA. But the CA and Noise are horrible. Isn't the Nikon 8700 has same sensor size as the Sony 828? Wait and see how the Nikon performs in those deaprtments!

I'm strating this thread to check out if your I-485 package was received by R.COOK at NSC and if your checks are cleared.
I sent my I-485 on July 18, the checks are not cleared yet.
I sent my EAD/AP pcakage on Aug 10, where the checks got cleared last week. But I didn't get my receipts notice yet.
My I-140 was sent to TSC, which is not approved yet. Any thoughts?
