Hi All,
I filed my I-485 in month of August 2008. I have FP appointment for me and my son on 31st Dec 2008, and for my wife on Jan 2nd 2009. Can my wife just walk in for finger print on 31st along with me and my son ? or she only need to go on 2nd Jan ?
Will appreciate your response.
I read one IV post where somebody did the say. They allowed wife's finger print also. You can always try!

the second charge of "false statement" to the officer is? That will look negatively on the character of the applicant.
In general traffic citations are minor misdemeanours. Not sure about fishing. But the second charge IMO is a bit serious.

I have a question, for my fresh petition 2010 will it be subject to the H1B CAP??
There are many diferent opinions, i too understood that renewals and extensions wont be subject to cap. But there is no clear statement on my scenario.

When I went to my county health dept to get vaccination shots (for medical exam), they asked me to see the civil surgeon first, "else you will pay lot more for shots that you do not need". I gave them the standard list (MMR, Polio, DTaP, Influenza type B, Hepatitis B), and there are a few more in (page 3 of) I-693 form (http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-693.pdf). Someone on this thread (http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?t=5553) (second-last post) says you may need a shorter list based on your age group. Did anyone recently take these shots, and can she/he give the correct list here?

I only took TDaP (Adacel) shot. For MMR, Hepatitis B and Chicken Pox I had a blood test which showed that I am immune. You do not need polio shot.

Hi,
My wife got her H1B in Oct 2008. But could not work until date.
We want to get her H1B transferred back to H4. There are NO pay stubs for her.
I am on H1B with job. And I have my pay stubs.
Will there be any problem in her H1B to H4 transfer without her pay stubs ?

Dont worry pokiri, just apply for trasnfer thru lawyer. My friend recently did it for his wife. She got H1 to H4 in 2 months without any RFEs. She did not work after she got her H1 in 2007 April and she don't have pay stubs.

My interview went fine. I got the H1 stamping done today at hyd counselate. The interview was pretty short. I showed him all the important certificates ( Passport + petition + Hdfc fee slip + DS forms ). Then he asked me the following questions:
Why do I want to go to US?
where I am working?
How long have I been working?
What do I do in my job?
APPROVED!
This is my number -- **********. If u have any question give me a call. This number is valid till april10th... after that I will be in US.

I sent my app to NSC 20th' July,,,,received at NSC on 23rd' July..
Still no receipts(s) yet....checks not cashed yet..
Called few times in past weeks to IO level2 support, info is not available/entered in USCIS database..
Just wondering who else is facing same situation as I, and sharing the ride.
Pls reply to this thread so we can track the progress..

Fellows,
some body told me that if you are on H1B1 then you can not file for greencard. is it true?
I am on H1B1 and I have approved I-140.
I didnt knew the difference between H1b and H1B1.
