May be IV code is already aware and working on this. I think with the nuke deal out of the way, we now have a window of opportunity - may be Q1/Q2 2007 - during which we can try to get USINPAC, India caucus etc. to listen to us and hopefully actually do something.
Once the so called "123 agreement" is finalized and reaches congress for approval, we would again be shut out of any help from USINPAC and others.

An article in the Economic Times discusses the findings of a think-tank which indicated that the United States may have violated its obligations unde the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS) by the newly implemented H and L fee increase for certain US Petitioners, "As a result, a WTO Member whose companies use H-1B and L-1 visas to perform services in the United States may challenge this provision at the World Trade Organization."

I am going to re-new my h-1b for the next 3 years.. What are the steps to follow??

I just finished completing the online DS 10 form. I was expecting to answer to question
�Has Anyone Ever Filed an Immigrant Visa Petition on Your Behalf?� but it didn�t ask me this. My I-140 is approved and I am in 7th year of H1B so was going to answer �Yes� to it.
Has this question been removed from DS-160?

I am on F1 visa. I enrolled in one of the university. I don't attend university in person. I do attend classes online from another state. My question is that I am resident of which state ?? Will I be automatically resident of state where exactly my university is ? I know it is mandatory to attend classes in person on F1. Can you please advise ? How is residency considered ?

If you are on F1, you need to be attending courses in-person - so e-learning/ distance learning is a voilation per-se of F1.
Now, if you were attending the courses in-person, you can be residing anywhere (particularly in cities close to state borders), and your residency will be the address where you are staying, not the university you are enrolled in. There is nothing in the rules to be a resident of the same state as your Univ is.

Can I donate 50$ as one time contribution by writing check on IV name and post it through USPS?
Please do not scold me for deciding to donate this much small amount.. My budget supports this much only at this moment.

It has become quite a hassle to obtain a California state driver's license or state identification card ("ID") when you are a non-immigrant such as in F, M, or J status (students, students in vocational schools, cultural exchange students). Recently Immigration Customs and Enforcement issued a fact sheet on applying for a driver's license or ID card for non immigrants in F, M or J status. It is not state specific but it does list all of the websites for all of the Department of Motor Vehicle offices in the United States.

Obtain a Social Security number
Complete a Driver License or Identification Card Application
