I think there is nothing called State chapter link.. we have to come together and form a group.

VB will come today.
I am going to ask my lawyer why it is late. It is is generally on Fridays in the first week on the month.
We should hope for a good VB as it is delayed. If it was copy paste, it would have come out sooner.

You should probably call USCIS to see what is going on ?
Reciept Notices should be sent immideatly as soon as they recieve the application. If it has been that long, I would recommend calling them and see what the hell is going on.
I did not get my reciept notices too. Luckily, I had the reciept numbers from the back of my checks. I called and found out that they were sent to the wrong address. I immideatly corrected my address online.

I had to go through secondary inspection which took about 20 minutes at JFK.IO only verified and stamped AP. No other documents were requested. To be on safe side, I carried Pay Stubs, Education Documents and Office Identification card.

Very Interesting set of links. We need to respond to each of these journalists thanking for any positive coverage but also highlighting the specific issues that is causign the backlog (7% per country limit and lack of visa recapture). We need to request that attention be paid to this aspect and how removal of per-country limit is neccessary to eliminate the greencard backlogs (and that visa recapture will at least provide limited relief). Most of such articles praise high-skilled immigrants but do not get to the root of the issue and the possible solutions. We need some folks to help with this IV media outreach. Please PM me if you are interested.

Guys,
If one IV member moves from State A to B, what would be the process of transferring membership to state chapter?
Will it merely be a deleting datbase record from one state and adding it to another state? Or would it be again filling up survey to new state chapter..?

The person should be eligible for H-1B (even if 6 years are complete) as he/she has I-140 pending or approved. If I-140 is pending, then H-1B can be filed for 1 year extension, if I-140 is approved then H-1B extension can be upto 3 years.
My 2 cents.
Yes, she should be able to extend, but we don't know all the facts so cannot say for sure, especially if the former employer withdraws the I-140.

Well the lawyer representing the new company believes that without a copy of 140
1. that, they cannot do a H1B transfer.
2. that, I cannot do EAD extension when it expires in October 2008.
Why r u doing an h1 transfer ??? why can't u invoke AC21.....??

I have also had success using just the online printout, but to be safe, you should make a Freedom of Information Act request for a copy of the I-140 approval notice. This is relatively easy to do-just follow the instructions on the USCiS website USCIS - Freedom of Information and Privacy Act (FOIA) (http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextchannel=34139c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a 1RCRD&vgnextoid=34139c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD ).
I do not think that the denial of a petition for extension of H-1B status, in and of itself, would effect your pending I-485.

I have an earlier approved I-140 from my previous company (PD : 30 Nov 2005). In addition, I also have an approved I-140 from my current company (PD: 27 March 2007). However, my latest I-140 still shows the priority
date of 27 March, 2007. As My old priority date is current, my attorney sent a letter to TSC requesting for recapture of my previous priority date. But, TSC sent a reply back saying that we should contact National
Service Center. HUG..!!
Did any one in the similar situation? How did you resolve?
